Next we need, for each book individually, to work out a set of algorithms which define the order in which quotation marks will be regularized. By this I mean that quotation marks should have all occurrences of straight ticks replaced by curliques, that they should all point in the right direction, and that, wherever possible, British single quotation marks should be exchanged for American double quotation marks. This raises another question, apostrophes. Similarly, at the end of any unit of dialogue, there will be a stop, a comma, an exclamation, a question mark, or a rule, followed by left-facing curliques.
You will now be left with some self-standing quotation marks which can be found as space-quotation and individually attended to. Anything else is an apostrophe or an error requiring editorial judgement. Next, attend to the apostophes. Search for them one by one from the beginning of the volume and when you find an error, correct it for the entire volume by search and replace, then find the next error, until no more errors are found.
At this point, you have reduced the errors in the OCR to the maximum extent possible by semi-automated means. I understand why the big publishers hate backlist books. That makes me all the more proud of what CoolMain has achieved with very limited financial resources and the goodwill of the outstanding volunteers. If you see a remaining error in a CoolMain book, please write to us: info at coolmainpress with the commercial extension. We will make the correction at the next edition. However, Joshua has other ideas. So he demands she agree to spend a quiet Christmas on a remote African Island with him, hoping they can salvage their relationship. Hot Winter Kiss
Ardan is lonely and seeking companionship when he turns to Madame Eve and her 1Night Stand services. Madame Eve knows that Ardan and Sandra belong together even though there is 15 years age difference but once these two get together only time will tell. Will Ardan and Sandra be able to stay together after the hot kisses and night filled with passion ends? Will Sandra be able to put her books down and live in reality? Lord knows I love my 1Night stand Novellas! Nov 30, Bea Charmed rated it liked it Shelves: romance , won , read-in , hospital-reads , kindle-books , ebook , erotica.
This had fewer copy editing issues than the previous stories but there were continuity issues. Kenrick again with the mistaken identity theme for the 1N Stand date that she used in book two. I'm not a fan of that device so I was happy that Sandra caught on quickly and figured it out. The overall story was sweet but the romance was rushed.
Nov 28, Michelle Leah Olson rated it really liked it Shelves: literal-addiction-books , reviewed. It was fast paced, "awwww" inducing, and believable despite the whimsy and lack of time to get in a full story. I loved the characters! Sandra is a feisty bibliophile who is fed up with her family taking advantage of her always being available, and decides to take some time for herself for the holidays by touring some castles and using a giftcertificate for a 1-Night-Stand date that her co-workers gave to her.
Ardan is a young widower and the owner of Ballygalley Castle. When Sandra, his intended 1-Night-Stand date, comes to stay for the night he realizes right off that she could be a great fit for him and makes a choice to hide the fact that he's the owner of the castle. Despite their age difference there is definite chemistry between the two, and though things don't always go smoothly, and sometimes secrets can come to bite you, they ultimately work out in the end those awww moments I spoke of earlier. I loved these two and their story and I could have definitely immersed myself further in their romance and world.
I was unimpressed by this offering. Sandra made way too much about her age, then they just fell into bed together like she just hadn't been whining about her age! I didn't like the deception of the hero much either, and then all of a sudden he wants to keep dating her!
