I am observing the IT market for two decades. They said C is old Java is on. From that day till today - Java is On and surprisingly it is growing.
Java 8 will replace many languages and it is most demanding technology. I don't see anything can replace Java in next 1 decade. Main reason is not only the maturity and popularity; but also huge funding. I have a feeling you're right Deepesh. A lot of the hot new technologies like Elastic Search, Kafka, etc Java will be around for a long time.
