From the Holy Ghost, we draw spiritual power, might and the ability to walk in miracles. Jesus said He would build His church, and the gates of hell would not prevail against it. That governing Church, His Church, would be filled with ruling and reigning disciples a priesthood of kings that would need Holy Ghost power to succeed.
There are many benefits of the baptism of the Holy Ghost. Isaiah said there were seven operations of the Holy Ghost. All of these are available to you after the Holy Ghost has come upon you. Of this list, the fear of the Lord is among the most important. The fear of the Lord is reverence for God and the things of God. A person that reverences the Lord is concerned about how God feels. A Christian can never experience the fullness of the Holy Ghost without a deep reverence and respect for the things of God. Without the fear of the Lord, there can be no spiritual wisdom.

Wisdom is sound thinking, the ability to make right decisions, shrewdness, prudence, discretion, wise judgment, common sense, and the ability to rightfully divide the Word of God and apply it to real-life situations. There are certain behaviors that are the antithesis of the fear of the Lord:.
Indifference, a take it or leave it attitude, never receives anything from the Holy Ghost. If you are indifferent, apathetic or lukewarm, you are in danger.

If you are hungry, you will eat. If you are not hungry, you will not. The Holy Ghost is looking for an anointing hungry people. With these, everything that can get in the way of their relationship with Christ gets in the way. Jesus spoke of people that put business, spouse, or relative before him. One day he held a great feast. All were invited.

Some came, some were too busy. God had a word for the inconvenienced. The Holy Ghost does not like competing with sporting events, entertainments or your family members. He is God and must come first. Prosperity can be a hindrance. Thousands press into the things of God when suffering lack. God blesses them, and they come out of poverty. Scripture declares not to forget the Lord after prosperity. But thou shalt remember the LORD thy God: for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant which he sware unto thy fathers, as it is this day.
And it shall be, if thou do at all forget the LORD thy God, and walk after other gods, and serve them, and worship them, I testify against you this day that ye shall surely perish. There are hundreds of examples that could be listed. The bottom line is we must cultivate a reverence for the things of God if we are ever going to experience the fullness of the Holy Ghost in our lives, families, and churches. You are reading this essay because you have a deep reverence for God. As already said, one of the benefits of the baptism of the Holy Ghost is wisdom. If you want wisdom, then start with the veneration of God.
Veneration is reverence, worship, respect, and zeal. It stood over feet just over 33 m high overlooking the harbor of Rhodes and, despite fanciful depictions to the contrary, stood with its legs together on a base much like the Statue of Liberty in the harbor off New York City in the United States of America, which is modeled on the Colossus and did not straddle the harbour. The statue was commissioned after the defeat of the invading army of Demetrius in BCE. Demetrius left behind much of his siege equipment and weaponry and this was sold by the Rhodians for talents approximately million U.
The statue stood for only 56 years before it was destroyed by an earthquake in BCE.
The Gospels record 37 of his miracles
It lay in impressive ruin for over years, according to Strabo, and was still a tourist attraction. Pliny the Elder claims that the fingers of the Colossus were larger than most statues of his day. The Lighthouse at Alexandria, built on the island of Pharos, stood close to feet m in height and was commissioned by Ptolemy I Soter.
Construction was completed sometime around BCE. The structure rose from a square base to a middle octagonal section up to a circular top and those who saw it in its glory reported that words were inadequate to describe its beauty. The Egyptian fort Quaitbey now stands on the site of the Pharos, built with some of the stones from the ruins of the lighthouse. The Seven Wonders of the Ancient World were, by no means, a comprehensive agreed-upon list of the most impressive structures of the day.
Rather, the list was very much like a modern-day tourist pamphlet informing travelers on what to see on their trip.

Herodotus, for example, cites the Egyptian Labyrinth as being far more impressive than even the pyramids of Giza, stating,. I visited this building and found it to surpass description; for if all the great works of the Greeks could be put together in one, they would not equal this Labyrinth.
The Pyramids likewise surpass description, but the Labyrinth surpasses the Pyramids. I have gazed on the walls of impregnable Babylon along which chariots may race, and on the Zeus by the banks of the Alpheus, I have seen the hanging gardens, and the Colossus of the Helios, the great man-made mountains of the lofty pyramids, and the gigantic tomb of Mausolus; but when I saw the sacred house of Artemis, that towers to the clouds , the others were placed in the shade, for the sun himself, has never looked upon its equal, outside Olympus.
What they all did agree on, however, was that, once upon a time, humans raised structures which were worthy of the work of the gods and, once seen, were never to be forgotten.
