Dora, Dora, Dora, the Explorer! Dora is a very sweet girl! She also enjoys playing with her dog friends too, but does better with the boys. She is a bit shy at first but warms up quickly, especially if you have toys she can play with! In the shelter, Dora can get overwhelmed easily. Her new home should be a quiet and stable one without children under 12 years old. She does best with a routine and consistency. Because she is nervous walking around the shelter and likes to stop-and-go, she needs a home with a fenced in yard and apartment life would most likely be too stressful for her. If you are looking for a dog that has that perfect combination of play and cuddles, Dora is your explorer girl!
Dora will be shown by appointment only. Be sure to include "Dora A" when filling out the survey. My name is Luci.

If I am too vocal, an apartment may not be the best setting for me and I can't be left outside alone long, especially with nothing to do. I'm high energy, even for my age, which means I need a family that will give me the daily mental and physical exercise I need, doing nose work games would be a great activity to keep me mentally stimulated and harness my scent instincts.
I must go to a home with closer to their teens as younger children are just too overwhelming for me. I would do best as the only dog in the home as I'm not always a fan of sharing attention and can get overwhelmed by some dogs. I need to meet all family members before going to my new forever home as I want to make sure I can fit right into the family. Go, go, go, that's what I always say! I would love to meet my forever family including the other dogs before going home!
I must go to a home with school aged children as younger children will be too overwhelmed by my energy and play style. I cannot go to an apartment or attaching housing as I really like to talk when alone, sometimes even when I have company, and I'm not sure the neighbors will appreciate me being a "chatty cathy". My name is Mandi Mae. My friends at the shelter would describe me as shy, calm, and very sweet! I get nervous around new people and situations.
I need people to go slow and allow me to warm up at my own pace.

However, just like my namesake I am beautiful, but can be ornery. I love to play, but can get a bit rambunctious and may jump up and mouth with minimal pressure. I am just being a silly puppy that doesn't know any better, but this would still likely be overwhelming for young children.
