Dora, Dora, Dora, the Explorer! Dora is a very sweet girl! She also enjoys playing with her dog friends too, but does better with the boys. She is a bit shy at first but warms up quickly, especially if you have toys she can play with! In the shelter, Dora can get overwhelmed easily. Her new home should be a quiet and stable one without children under 12 years old. She does best with a routine and consistency. Because she is nervous walking around the shelter and likes to stop-and-go, she needs a home with a fenced in yard and apartment life would most likely be too stressful for her. If you are looking for a dog that has that perfect combination of play and cuddles, Dora is your explorer girl!

    • I'm a typical Cattle Dog, meaning I'm smart and eager to work! If I'm not given the proper amount of physical or mental exercise, I may find inappropriate ways to expel my energy. With my fearful side, I'm looking for a low traffic home with no children under I'd still love to go for hikes and long walks, though!

I used to live in an apartment and I didn't do well. I was never properly socialized with other dogs, so I may do best in a home where I can be the only dog. I can be easygoing and can get along with most people, so if you have a home with moderate to low traffic, I might be right for you. If I am too vocal, an apartment may not be the best setting for me and I can't be left outside alone long, especially with nothing to do. I'm high energy, even for my age, which means I need a family that will give me the daily mental and physical exercise I need, doing nose work games would be a great activity to keep me mentally stimulated and harness my scent instincts.

I must go to a home with closer to their teens as younger children are just too overwhelming for me. I would do best as the only dog in the home as I'm not always a fan of sharing attention and can get overwhelmed by some dogs. I need to meet all family members before going to my new forever home as I want to make sure I can fit right into the family. Go, go, go, that's what I always say! I would love to meet my forever family including the other dogs before going home!

I must go to a home with school aged children as younger children will be too overwhelmed by my energy and play style. I cannot go to an apartment or attaching housing as I really like to talk when alone, sometimes even when I have company, and I'm not sure the neighbors will appreciate me being a "chatty cathy". My name is Mandi Mae. My friends at the shelter would describe me as shy, calm, and very sweet! I get nervous around new people and situations.

I can get a little uncomfortable with some dogs so I will need to meet any other pups in the household before going home, or I may just be happiest as the only dog. I am a little too interested in cats so I need a home without any feline friends. I would do best in a house rather than an apartment.

I've been an outdoor dog my whole life but I really like this living indoors thing, being around people more often is pretty awesome. I will need some help though adjusting to indoor living, even though I want to be with people it's a whole new world for me. I'll need a family that will be patient with me as I adjust and will need some help with potty training. I have been hearing the shelter staff talking about me and they are calling me the 'ornery' one! I don't know what that means exactly. I do know that I am pretty nervous of people when I first meet them. My next home will need to be a quiet, yet active one, that is ready to help me gain some confidence. I am pretty energetic. When I interact with people, I like to jump up on them and sometimes even grab their pant legs or their hands. I am slowly learning self control but it is so hard because I just get so excited! I am going to need a pretty special home I will need a home without small children and if going to a home with kids, they should be teenagers.

Be sure to include "Rocko A" when filling out the survey. Unlike my namesake, there's not anything you can do to turn me into a fire-breathing dragon. However, just like my namesake I am beautiful, but can be ornery. I love to play, but can get a bit rambunctious and may jump up and mouth with minimal pressure. I am just being a silly puppy that doesn't know any better, but this would still likely be overwhelming for young children.

I can be easygoing and can get along with most people and other dogs, so if you have a home with moderate traffic, I might be right for you. I would love to meet the kids and other pups, though pushy dogs can overwhelm me easily and I may prefer to be the only pup. I would do best living in a house rather than an apartment.
